Most identity governance tools are built for Fortune 500 companies with unlimited IT budgets and teams of consultants. That leaves growing businesses with a lousy choice: pay enterprise prices for features they don't need, or manage user access with spreadsheets and hope nothing falls through the cracks.
We started Adcyma to fix that. We build the same caliber of identity governance that large enterprises use, but designed so a single IT manager can set it up in a day and actually afford to keep running it.
Our goal is straightforward: make proper identity governance the default for every company, not just the ones with six-figure security budgets.

How we got here
Adcyma didn't start in a boardroom. It started with a real problem that no one was solving for companies our size.
Fredrik, our co-founder, was moving his company from hybrid Active Directory to Entra-only. What should have been a routine migration turned into a governance mess — managing user access suddenly meant manual processes, spreadsheets, and a lot of crossed fingers. Entra's built-in tools weren't built for this.
Looking for a fix, Fredrik found that enterprise IGA solutions cost more than most IT budgets, took months to deploy, and required consultants to run. Nothing existed for a company that just needed solid identity governance without the overhead. Conversations with other IT managers at conferences confirmed it — this was everyone's problem.
Fredrik teamed up with Daniel, an IAM consultant who was tired of watching capable IT teams struggle with overcomplicated tools, and Jens, a developer who knew there had to be a better way to build this. Together, they had the domain knowledge, the technical chops, and the motivation to build something different.
The first version was PowerShell scripts. Then came Power Automate and Power Apps. Each iteration taught them something, and the biggest lesson was that real flexibility needs a proper platform. So they built one — purpose-built for Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory, designed for IT teams of one to twenty, priced so any company can afford it.
Adcyma is now a fully managed SaaS platform, built and hosted entirely in Sweden. It hasn't forgotten where it came from — every feature exists because a real IT team needed it, and every design decision is tested against the question: "Could a single IT manager set this up and run it alone?"
